Ni Foam-Supported Ni Nanoclusters for Enhanced Electrocatalytic Oxygen Evolution Reaction

چکیده
Developing oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts is essential to accomplish viable CO2 and water electrolysis. Herein, we report the fabrication OER performance of Ni-foam (NF)-immobilized Ni6 nanoclusters (NCs) (Ni6/NF) prepared by a dip-coating process. The Ni6/NF electrode exhibited high current density 500 mA/cm2 for at an overpotential as low 0.39 V. durability in alkaline solution without corrosion. Electrokinetic studies revealed that can be easily initiated on NC with fast electron-transfer rates. Finally, demonstrated stable CO2-to-CO electroreduction using NC-based zero-gap electrolyzer operated 100 full-cell potential 2.0 V 12 h.

Preparation of Ni-P-CeO2 electrode and study on electrocatalytic properties for hydrogen evolution reaction
In this study ternary Ni-P-CeO2 catalysts were first synthesized by the Co-electrodeposition method on a copper substrate and then characterized by means of microstructural and electrochemical techniques toward a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Also, for comparison other catalysts such as Ni-CeO2, Ni-P, and Ni were prepared and characterized by the same methods. The microstructure of the inv...

Catalysts for oxygen evolution reactions (OER) are at the heart of key renewable energy technologies, and development of non-precious metal catalysts with high activity and stability remain a great challenge in this field. Among various material candidates, metal sulfides are receiving increasing attention. While morphology-dependent catalytic performances are well established in noble metal-ba...

Electrochemical dual-pulse plating with sequential galvanostatic and potentiostatic pulses has been used to fabricate an electrocatalytically active Ni/Ni(OH)2/graphite electrode. This electrode design strategy to generate the Ni/Ni(OH)2 interface on graphite from Ni deposits is promising for electrochemical applications and has been used by us for hydrogen generation. The synergetic effect of ...
متن کاملEnhancement of the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction from Ni-MoS2 Hybrid Nanoclusters
This report focuses on a novel strategy for the preparation of transition metal-MoS2 hybrid nanoclusters based on a one-step, dual-target magnetron sputtering, and gas condensation process demonstrated for Ni-MoS2. Aberration-corrected STEM images coupled with EDX analysis confirms the presence of Ni and MoS2 in the hybrid nanoclusters (average diameter = 5.0 nm, Mo:S ratio = 1:1.8 ± 0.1). The ...
